The most interesting part of this to me is, Darren Sharper had off-season knee surgery himself. It seems both him and Farve have some targets for the opposing players.

One of my favorite parts of this though is how he follows it up about why it’s only the older guys doing this:

“Younger guys don’t have the money to do it,” Bowe added.

According to this article the minimum salary in 2007 for any player in the NFL was $285,000. The NFL travels for 8 weeks on the season (more if you make the playoffs but come on Bowe is on the Cheifs) and the young guys can’t afford a hotel room on that salary? Where the fuck are they staying? A room at the Super 8 in Jessup Maryland is only like 50 bucks (A story for another time), you can swing it Dwayne.

Honestly, I did try to this one time. I was going on a shore vacation with some buddies and hit up myspace for the town we were going to. The rejection responses I got back were not nearly as mean and insulting as the ones I sent out in my home town. Ocean City you have yourself some kind women there.

You just suggest people that you think your followers should be following and use the hashtag #FF.

But this just plain doesn’t make sense…

This is what I love about twitter.

We all understand that advertising lies.  You watch a SouthWest commercial and you may think, “Hey, that looks like a good airline.  And they let their Flight Attendants make funny speeches over the loudspeaker!”

Or you may watch a T.G.I.Fridays commercial and say, “Flame-roasted Cajun shrimp with a hint of lime?  They must have some world-class chefs back there in that kitchen.”

You don’t realize that a SouthWest flight is an airborne Greyhound bus, both in luxuries and clientele.  And the cooks at T.G.I.Fridays are a step above taco bell in training.

Before you take me for a liberal elite, I patronize both these businesses on occasion.  They serve their purpose.  But I don’t like that their advertisements convince you that they are a premium product.

These services are differentiated only by their dirt cheap price… which is important to me.  Just say it.

That’s why Twitter is awesome.  Miles Austin (and Kevin Smith) just let a few people know not to get caught up in the SouthWest hype… and be sure to check in 23 hours and 59 minutes ahead of time because if you are the last on that flight you are in for a nightmare.

That’s also a reason we need more twitter.  Sure, SouthWest and Friday’s are big businesses everyone has seen… but what about the small ones.

What about when you’re looking for a new bar to check out.  You visit the website, and they boast a “luxurious but friendly atmosphere.”  But you know, without question, that some of those places are shit holes and you’re more likely to get stabbed than engage in friendly conversation with the locals.

Once the internet really figures that out… we’ll be set.

And once Roy Williams finally admit he’s the TGI Friday’s of  “No. 1″ receivers, the Cowboys can move on as well.
